The Willis Family

I was so excited leading up to the shoot to meet Don's family.  He's one of the most down to earth attorneys I've met - so I knew his wife and girls would be awesome!  I was not let down - we had a great morning taking photos at their home in Vienna.

Don - you have three absolutely beautiful women in your life!  Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Gina & Curtis Engaged!

These two were amazing from the start. They approached me from across the parking lot - hand in hand - and ready for some time in front of the camera. The love between them was as bright as the sun on the morning we met.

We walked to our first destination and they told me their story.  When they told me they had three years of long distance (Ohio to Pennsylvania) under their belt...  I was smitten! Wow.  Long distance love stories make me so happy.  Reggie and I did it for 5 years, and it's not easy!  Every time I meet a couple that has made it through the distance - I fall that much more in love.

For most of the shoot it felt like I wasn't even there.  They were in their own world and I was just there to capture it... and interrupt every now and again to pose them :)

Gina.  Curtis.  I had SO much fun with you guys.  I hope you enjoy your photos!

Gina and Curtis Preview

You know those couples that you can just tell belong together? Gina and Curtis are one of them. I love being able to witness two people who are so. in. love.  Especially when they are at such a beautiful and meaningful point in their lives! I had a great time hanging out with them this Saturday at The Londontown Gardens.  More to follow on this awesome couple!  For now, here's a small preview!

Halloween Weekend Goodies

You know, I really enjoy Halloween. Getting to dress up and be a kid all over again... it just SO entertaining (yes, I'm very in touch with my inner child, my last... what... 3 posts have mentioned this?)!

It was by pure chance that my friend Jackie and I both dressed as pirates.  On purpose, we decided we wouldn't tell each other what we were going to be.  The anticipation was building... I really wanted to know... she is always so creative with her outfits.  Always home-made, never bought.  After driving 3 hours to PA, I walked in the door to see Jackie, the Pirate.  I couldn't stop laughing.  I had to share this picture:  I don't know how to be serious, she pulls it off.
Sunday, we went over to her parent's farm and I got to see my beautiful niece.
Then we took a walk around to check on all the animals. Goats have such strange eyes!
As usual on the farm, there's always something being done. This sunday it was building a greenhouse.  Lookin good guys!!
Horses are such beautiful creatures
I am in love with sunflare. It was the perfect time of day to be shooting too. A girl's love for her horse will last a lifetime.

Extreme Pumpkin Carving

Extreme? Nah, not really :) But fun, relaxing, and nostalgic? YES! Friday night was good times, carving out my pumpkin and taking pictures of my friend's carve theirs. Here's a brief look into our evening.

My friends with knives? Not the best idea.
Thankfully everyone kept their fingers!

As a child I used to be grossed out by the insides of pumpkins. I have to say - I am fully OVER that phobia! I actually had fun with the pumpkin seeds :) Here's everyone's pumpkins! Lora's, to the far left, had hair cutout in the back  (she has that creative touch!).
It cast a cool shadow onto the wall behind it.

I just love how everyone's pumpkins came out totally awesome and different. YAY creativity!!!
